3-Day Kayak Camping Vacation Around Porto Koufo

We will focus on vacationing as it will be hot. Think of it as a 3-day kayak camping vacation in Greece full of leisure, beach pleasure, diving with masks and … a paddling element. We will visit Porto Koufo, the submarine bay, and the unbelievable Tzitzikas, or the Cicadas, Tavern, the Small Dragon Islands and Seal Bay’s grand rocks.

Day 1 – Departure from Sofia’s Orlov most, or Eagle’s Bridge, in Tudurini Bros’ minivan at 7 p.m. (a different time can be arranged between the group). Arrival in the camping area early in the morning, coffee or sleep, yoga or stretching depending on your mood.

Day 2 – We will prepare the boats for sailing, give you some instruction, do some light exercise and take off north. We will visit small bays and bucolic beaches. We will make a short stop to recharge and then go bac to camp. Dinner, sweet talk and drinks. Sleep.

Day 3 – We will prepare the boats for sailing, give you some instruction, do some light exercise and take off. We will visit Porto Koufo, reportedly a harbour of submarines. Hopefully we will not bother one another. The harbour’s mouth is narrow but then it opens up bulb-like towards the coast lined by high cliffs. Kayak sailing by them will get your necks broken, if it were not for the life vests… We will have a break in a beautiful tavern (yassas and yamas all the way) in Porto Koufo and then go back to camp. Dinner and endless entertainment. Sleep.

Day 4 – Wake up, coffee, beach time, pack up and leave for Sofia at around 1 p.m.
Given the hot weather we will only get into the water in the late afternoons. Paddling is some 10 km per day. We will be in the water some 2 to 3 hours with no extra strain.
